Common questions

What materials can you laser cut?

Common materials include cast acrylic, birch plywood, MDF, card, leather and laser-safe rubber. Material suitability is confirmed before cutting.

Do you cut metal?

No. This service uses a CO₂ laser for compatible non-metal sheet materials. If your part requires metal fabrication, tell us the requirement and we can advise on the most appropriate route.

Can you make a single part or a small batch?

Yes. We support one-off development parts, prototypes and small repeat batches where laser cutting is a suitable process.

Can you help if my design is not ready to cut?

Yes. Send a drawing, sketch, dimensions or CAD file and we can review the geometry and help prepare a practical manufacturing route.

Can I collect from Sheffield?

Yes. Collection from our Sheffield workshop can be arranged when your parts are ready.
