FDM 3D printer with multi-material filament system and filament dryers at Seked Labs

Built for functional engineering parts

We focus on parts that need to fit, mount, protect, locate or prove a design, rather than decorative printing alone.

  • Prototypes, jigs, fixtures, brackets and enclosures
  • PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, Nylon and PC where appropriate
  • Engineer-led review when material choice or printability is unclear

What we can help with

Prototype parts

Fit checks, design iterations and functional components for early testing.

Jigs, fixtures & brackets

Practical parts for mounting, positioning, handling and repeatable workshop tasks.

Enclosures & housings

Sensor mounts, electronics housings, cable-management parts and integration hardware.

Custom FDM 3D printed bushing housing on its engineering drawing at Seked Labs in Sheffield

Recent client project

Custom bushing housings from requirement to small batch

A local client needed a custom housing where no suitable off-the-shelf component was available. Seked Labs developed the geometry, produced the engineering drawing and manufactured a repeatable FDM batch.

  • Designed around the required clearances and bushing axis
  • Included a feature less than 1 mm thick
  • Produced and supplied within the client's required timescale

Common questions

What files can I send?

STL, STEP and STP files are accepted for quoting. You can also send drawings, PDFs, images or reference files if the part still needs design work.

Can you print a single part or a small batch?

Yes. The service is intended for one-off prototypes, development parts and repeatable small batches.

Can Seked Labs help design the part?

Yes. CAD and engineering drawing support can be included where you have a requirement, sketch or existing component rather than a finished printable model.

How quickly can a part be printed?

Lead time depends on geometry, material, quantity and current workload. We confirm a practical timescale with the quote rather than applying one fixed turnaround to every part.

Can I collect from Sheffield?

Yes. Collection from the Seked Labs Sheffield workshop is available by arrangement.
